Bali’s 5G Network Expansion Targets Key Tourist Areas

Date:

Telkomsel, a leading Indonesian telecommunications company, is expanding its Hyper 5G network in Bali, focusing on Denpasar City and Badung Regency.

This move aligns with Indonesia’s broader goal to enhance digital connectivity and internet speeds nationwide.

According to a report in The Bali Sun, Derrick Heng, Telkomsel’s Marketing Director, highlighted that the 5G rollout aims to boost Bali’s tech development and support the island’s tourism sector.

“We want to ensure that Bali, as a premier global tourist destination, can experience 5G that meets international standards,” Heng said.

The report added that the expansion includes 67 5G points in Denpasar and 136 in Badung, totaling 225 points across southern Bali. Areas like Kuta, Canggu, Nusa Dua, and Sanur already benefit from consistent 5G coverage.

Indra Mardiatna, Telkomsel’s Network Director, emphasized the company’s commitment to providing uninterrupted high-speed internet and improving affordability.

The report stated that the Super Seru 5G Package offers increased data quotas, starting at IDR 60,000 for 50 GB, catering to tourists and local users.
