Experience Coliving Semkovo, a Mountain Paradise in Bulgaria

Date:

The rise of remote work and the growing number of digital nomads have increased the demand for flexible and cost-effective accommodation options, fueling the popularity of companies providing co-living spaces worldwide.

Co-living spaces are communal living arrangements where residents share living spaces and often have access to shared amenities and services.

Digital nomads, in particular, find co-living spaces appealing as they offer the chance to connect with like-minded individuals, collaborate on projects, and explore new locations while maintaining a comfortable home base.

According to a report by Cushman & Wakefield, the global co-living sector is expected to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 17.0% between 2019 and 2028.

One such destination creating ripples among digital nomad communities worldwide is ‘Coliving Semkovo,’ an upcoming project utilizing a new, trend-setting concept of a community-owned co-living space built over a 16,700 square-meter resort in the mountains of Semkovo, Bulgaria.

“The project aim is to take community living to the next level and create a co-living Semkovo,” said Matthias Zeitler, project creator and founder of ‘Coworking Bansko,’ an established coliving spaces organization in Bulgaria, in a report.

Zeitler stressed the unique allure of the new project, stating, “Semkovo is in a unique position, as it is located in the heart of the Rila mountains, surrounded by stunning nature and outdoor activities. It provides a perfect place to escape the city, and the environment creates the perfect balance between work and leisure.”

Another interesting aspect of the project is its “owned by the community, managed by the community” management approach.

According to the report, the project has garnered the interest of over 200 people making deposits to move the project forward. If you are interested in purchasing a room, click here. 20 m² rooms start at €15,000 (or about $15,980).

The idea behind Coliving Semkovo is to offer several amenities to dwellers ranging from co-working facilities to event areas and restaurants, a swimming pool, cinema, community kitchen, art space, private offices, and more.

With its resolve to provide a serene working environment for digital nomads, project creators aim to partner with service providers to offer activities such as yoga, guided mountain tours, and Brazilian jiu-jitsu.
