The study showed, among other things, that Portugal continues to dominate the preferences of Spaniards. The study showed that Spanish digital tourists already traveled as much as they did before the breakout of the pandemic.

According to a report by Portugal News, local reservations in Spain peaked as 9 of 10 travelers made reservations in Spain due to travel restrictions during the pandemic. The report further stated that there was stability in the tourism market between 2021 and 2022 as destinations in Spain and outside Spain were in a ratio of 80 to 20.
